(April 2026) ## Publication Written and illustrated by Rin Asano, the series began serialization in [Mag Garden](/source/Mag_Garden)'s *[Monthly Comic Blade](/source/Monthly_Comic_Blade)* magazine in 2002. He commended the manga's characterization, stating there was an "air of confidence in both the art and the storytelling".[11] In *[Manga: The Complete Guide](/source/Manga%3A_The_Complete_Guide)*, [Jason Thompson](/source/Jason_Thompson_(writer)) praised the artwork, though he felt the plot was too vague and withheld too much information from the reader.[1] Liann Cooper of *[Anime News Network](/source/Anime_News_Network)* described the characters as "generic" and the environments as "bland".
