**Telehash** is a [mesh networking](/source/Mesh_networking) protocol that aims to be secure.[4] The protocol is licensed under the [Creative Commons](/source/Creative_Commons) [Public domain](/source/Public_domain).[5]

Telehash implementations were still in development by 2014.[6] As a security-sensitive application, it has yet to receive a third-party security review.[7] TeleHash is similar to [Resilio Sync](/source/Resilio_Sync) in that it allows users of the software to share data securely without any central server authority.[4] There are implementations in [C](/source/C_(programming_language)), [Python](/source/Python_(programming_language)), [Ruby](/source/Ruby_(programming_language)), [Erlang](/source/Erlang_(programming_language)), [JavaScript](/source/JavaScript), [Go](/source/Go_(programming_language)), and [Objective-C](/source/Objective-C).[3]

Telehash is used in the [Locker project](/source/Locker_(software)),[8] and was planned to be used as a communication and file transfer mechanism in [Git-annex](/source/Git-annex).[6][9]
