==Communities==
The best known community in the township is South Baymouth (<small>{{coord|45|33|41|N|82|0|36|W|display=inline}}</small>),<ref>{{Cite cgndb |FCQER |South Baymouth |access-date=19 February 2025}}</ref> the northern docking point of the ''[MS Chi-Cheemaun](/source/MS_Chi-Cheemaun)'' passenger-car ferry which traverses the [Main Channel of Georgian Bay](/source/Georgian_Bay) to the community of [Tobermory](/source/Tobermory%2C_Ontario) on the [Bruce Peninsula](/source/Bruce_Peninsula). At the dock, the provincial [Highway 6](/source/Ontario_Highway_6), whose southern segment ends at Tobermory, resumes and continues northward to its terminus at [Highway 17](/source/Ontario_Highway_17) north of [Espanola](/source/Espanola%2C_Ontario).
