**Teelah** is a rural [locality](/source/Suburbs_and_localities_(Australia)) in the [South Burnett Region](/source/South_Burnett_Region), [Queensland](/source/Queensland), Australia.[3] In the [2021 census](/source/2021_Australian_census), Teelah had a population of 90 people.[2]

## Geography

Teelah has the following mountains:

- Goat Mountain ([26°45′36″S 152°04′48″E / 26.7599°S 152.0801°E / -26.7599; 152.0801 (Goat Mountain)](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?pagename=Teelah&params=26.7599_S_152.0801_E_type:mountain_region:AU-QLD&title=Goat+Mountain)) 357 metres (1,171 ft) above sea level[4][5]

- Mount Mellera ([26°46′20″S 152°06′50″E / 26.7723°S 152.1140°E / -26.7723; 152.1140 (Mount Mellera)](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?pagename=Teelah&params=26.7723_S_152.114_E_type:mountain_region:AU-QLD&title=Mount+Mellera)) 461 metres (1,512 ft) above sea level[4][6]

There is a small area of [rural residential](/source/Rural_residential) properties in the south-west of the locality, but otherwise the land use is grazing on native vegetation.[7]

## History

On 1 February 2018, Teelah's postcode changed from 4306 to 4314.[8]

## Demographics

In the [2016 census](/source/2016_Australian_census), Teelah had a population of 68 people.[9]

In the [2021 census](/source/2021_Australian_census), Teelah had a population of 90 people.[2]

## Education

There are no schools in Teelah. The nearest government primary schools are [Nanango State School](/source/Nanango_State_School) in [Nanango](/source/Nanango) to the north-west and [Blackbutt State School](/source/Blackbutt_State_School) in [Blackbutt](/source/Blackbutt%2C_Queensland) to the south. The nearest government secondary schools are [Nanango State High School](/source/Nanango_State_High_School) (to Year 12) in Nanango and [Yarraman State School](/source/Yarraman_State_School) (to Year 9) in neighbouring [Yarraman](/source/Yarraman%2C_Queensland) to the south-west.[10]
