'''Edwin James Tyler''' (13 October 1864  – 25 January 1917) was an English [cricket](/source/cricket)er who played [first-class cricket](/source/first-class_cricket) for [Somerset County Cricket Club](/source/Somerset_County_Cricket_Club) between [1891](/source/1891_English_cricket_season) and [1907](/source/1907_English_cricket_season). Tyler also played one [Test match](/source/Test_cricket) for [England](/source/English_cricket_team) on their tour to [South Africa](/source/South_Africa_national_cricket_team) in [1895–96](/source/1895-96_South_African_cricket_season).

Tyler was a left-handed bowler.  He played much of his early cricket for the Kidderminster Club, and for two years, 1885 and 1886, he was in the Worcestershire eleven, bowling with success in 1885.
