**Taylor Sutherland** (born 12 December 2005) is a professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as [forward](/source/Forward_(Association_football)) for [Montrose](/source/Montrose_F.C.).

## Career

Coming from Cowdenbeath, Sutherland started his football with [Cowdenbeath](/source/Cowdenbeath_F.C.) and then the Fife Football Performance Academy. He was with Fife Elite from the age of ten and progressed through the age groups until joining [Dunfermline Athletic](/source/Dunfermline_Athletic_F.C.) in 2021.[1] On 21 December 2022, just nine days after his seventeenth birthday, he signed his first full-time contract with Dunfermline.[1] Sutherland made his first team debut when he started the [Scottish Challenge Cup](/source/2022%E2%80%9323_Scottish_Challenge_Cup) tie against [Celtic B](/source/Celtic_F.C._B_Team_and_Academy) on 15 November 2022, scoring his first goal within the first three minutes of the match.[1][3]

Sutherland joined [League Two](/source/Scottish_League_Two) side [Bonnyrigg Rose](/source/Bonnyrigg_Rose_F.C.) on a short-term loan on 29 September 2023.[4] He made ten appearances and scored two goals for the side before returning to Dunfermline in January 2024.[1]

On 13 March 2024, Sutherland signed a contract extension with Dunfermline, keeping him at the club for an additional two years.[5] After appearing for the Pars in the [League Cup](/source/Scottish_League_Cup) group stage and the [Challenge Cup](/source/Scottish_Challenge_Cup), Sutherland's match time in the [Championship](/source/Scottish_Championship) was limited to 12 appearances off the bench. In January 2025 he joined [Clyde](/source/Clyde_F.C.) on loan until the end of the season with the aim of starting games regularly.[6]
