# Taulil language

**Taulil** is a [Papuan language](/source/Papuan_language) spoken in [East New Britain Province](/source/East_New_Britain_Province) on the island of [New Britain](/source/New_Britain), [Papua New Guinea](/source/Papua_New_Guinea).

It is spoken in Kadaulung village of ([4.452603°S 152.118398°E](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?params=-4.452603_152.118398&title=Kadaulung%20N0.2)) of [Inland Baining Rural LLG](/source/Inland_Baining_Rural_LLG), and in Taulil 1 ([4.413301°S 152.092147°E](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?params=-4.413301_152.092147&title=Taulil%20No.1)) and Taulil 2 ([4.419937°S 152.087372°E](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?params=-4.419937_152.087372&title=Taulil%20No.2)) villages of [Vunadidir/Toma Rural LLG](/source/Vunadidir/Toma_Rural_LLG).[1][2]

[Butam](/source/Butam_language) (now extinct) is related. Like the Butam, the Taulil people trace their ancestry to [New Ireland](/source/New_Ireland_(island)).[3]
