**Tapul**, officially the **Municipality of Tapul** ([Tausūg](/source/Taus%C5%ABg_language): *Kawman sin Tapul*; [Tagalog](/source/Tagalog_language): *Bayan ng Tapul*), is a [municipality](/source/Municipality_of_the_Philippines) in the [province](/source/Philippine_Province) of [Sulu](/source/Sulu), [Philippines](/source/Philippines). According to the 2024 census, it has a population of 21,830 people.[5]
