# Tantash

**Tantash** is a 5,504-metre (18,058-foot)[1] mountain in the [Cordillera Blanca](/source/Cordillera_Blanca) in the [Andes](/source/Andes) of [Peru](/source/Peru). It is situated in the [Ancash Region](/source/Ancash_Region), [Recuay Province](/source/Recuay_Province), [Catac District](/source/Catac_District).[2] Tantash lies southeast of [Mururaju](/source/Mururaju) and east of [Pukarahu](/source/Pukarahu_(Catac)).[1]
