**Tangail-2** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh).

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Bhuapur](/source/Bhuapur_Upazila) and [Gopalpur](/source/Gopalpur_Upazila) upazilas.[2][3]

## History

The constituency was created for the first general elections in newly independent Bangladesh, held in 1973.
