Tang has won two singles and four doubles titles on the [ITF Circuit](/source/ITF_Women's_Circuit). On 15 December 2014, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 371. On 15 July 2013, she peaked at No. 211 in the doubles rankings.

Playing for [China Fed Cup team](/source/China_Fed_Cup_team), Tang has accumulated a win–loss record of 7–7.
