Haneda participated in five Olympic Games. At the [2008 Summer Olympics](/source/2008_Summer_Olympics) in [Beijing](/source/Beijing) he was eliminated in the qualifying round of the [C1 event](/source/Canoeing_at_the_2008_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_slalom_C-1) finishing in 14th place.
