# Taingy

**Taingy** (tɛ̃ʒi) is a former [commune](/source/Communes_of_France) in the [Yonne](/source/Yonne) [department](/source/Departments_of_France) in [Bourgogne-Franche-Comté](/source/Bourgogne-Franche-Comt%C3%A9) in north-central [France](/source/France). On 1 January 2017, it was merged into the new commune [Les Hauts de Forterre](/source/Les_Hauts_de_Forterre).[2]
