# TTS Port of Spain

**TTS *Port of Spain***, named after the capital of [Trinidad and Tobago](/source/Trinidad_and_Tobago), [Port of Spain](/source/Port_of_Spain), is a [Cape-class patrol boat](/source/Cape-class_patrol_boat) of the [Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard](/source/Trinidad_and_Tobago_Coast_Guard).[1]

The $126 million contract to build two Cape-class patrol boats for the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard was awarded to [Austal](/source/Austal) in 2019.[1] The two boats, *Port of Spain* and [TTS *Scarborough*](/source/TTS_Scarborough), where delivered in May 2021 and reached Trinidad and Tobago on 7 July that year.[2]

The two vessels were commissioned into the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard in November 2021 by the [prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago](/source/List_of_prime_ministers_of_Trinidad_and_Tobago), [Keith Rowley](/source/Keith_Rowley). Delivery of the ships had been expected in 2020 but had been delayed because of the effects of the [COVID-19 pandemic](/source/COVID-19_pandemic).[3]
