The [Theban](/source/Thebes%2C_Egypt) Tomb '''TT27''' is located in [El-Assasif](/source/El-Assasif). It forms part of the [Theban Necropolis](/source/Theban_Necropolis), situated on the west bank of the [Nile](/source/Nile) opposite [Luxor](/source/Luxor). The tomb is the burial place of the [ancient Egypt](/source/ancient_Egypt)ian official, Sheshonk.

Sheshonk was the [chief steward](/source/Chief_steward_of_the_God's_Wife) of the [God's Wife of Amun](/source/God's_Wife_of_Amun) [Ankhnesneferibre](/source/Ankhnesneferibre), dating to the reign of king [Apries](/source/Apries) and king [Amasis II](/source/Amasis_II). Sheshonk was the son of Harsiesi and his wife Tahibet. Harsiesi was a chief steward of the God's Wife as well.<ref name="PM"/>
