==Release history==

The database was established in 1989<ref>West Sussex County Council, https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/information-for-developers/pre-application-advice-for-roads-and-transport/</ref> by six county councils in [South East England](/source/South_East_England) ([Dorset](/source/Dorset), [East Sussex](/source/East_Sussex), [Hampshire](/source/Hampshire), [Kent](/source/Kent), [Surrey](/source/Surrey) and [West Sussex](/source/West_Sussex)). It is now maintained by TRICS Consortium Ltd, based in [Barnet](/source/London_Borough_of_Barnet), London.

TRICS 7, a major update, was released in late 2013.
