The '''THP Orchestra''' was a 1970s [Canadian](/source/Canada) [disco](/source/disco) group from [Toronto](/source/Toronto) created by British producer [Willi Morrison](/source/Willi_Morrison) and Canadian producer [Ian Guenther](/source/Ian_Guenther).<ref>[http://www.allmusic.com/artist/thp-orchestra-mn0001548139/biography Biography], Allmusic</ref> The band released its first album in 1977 and was nominated for a [Juno Award](/source/Juno_Award) for Most Promising New Group. After two releases in two years, the group shortened its name ''Three Hats Productions'' to '''THP''' and released a third album on [Atlantic Records](/source/Atlantic_Records). It disbanded in 1980.
