==Controversies==
===TAPE vs TVJ===
On May 31, 2023, several hosts of ''[Eat Bulaga!](/source/Eat_Bulaga!)'', namely [Tito Sotto](/source/Tito_Sotto), [Vic Sotto](/source/Vic_Sotto), [Joey de Leon](/source/Joey_de_Leon), and other core ''EB'' hosts filed their resignations due to disputes about the show's production and creative. On June 2, 2023, TVJ filed a petition for the cancellation of the trademark renewal filed by TAPE, Inc. on the ''Eat Bulaga!''{{'}}s trademarks and anything connected to it. The renewal was cancelled on December 5, 2023, upon the [Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines](/source/Intellectual_Property_Office_of_the_Philippines) (IPOPHL) decision,<ref>{{Cite web |last=Ayeng |first=Raffy |date=2023-12-05 |title=IPOPHL sides with TVJ, but cancellation of ‘Eat Bulaga’ TAPE trademark ‘appealable’ |url=https://tribune.net.ph/2023/12/05/ipophl-sides-with-tvj-but-cancellation-of-eat-bulaga-tape-trademark-appealable |access-date=2025-07-08 |website=Daily Tribune |language=en}}</ref> forcing TAPE, Inc. to stop using ''Eat Bulaga!''{{'}}s trademarks and anything connected to it.

On June 30, 2023, TVJ through their legal representatives, filed a copyright infringement and unfair competition charges against TAPE, Inc. for using Joey de Leon's intellectual property (which is ''Eat Bulaga!'' and all connected to the name) in Marikina [Regional Trial Court](/source/Regional_Trial_Court).<ref>{{Cite web |last=Nice |date=2023-07-12 |title=TVJ, naghain ng reklamo sa Regional Trial Court ng Marikina vs. GMA Network at Tape Inc. |url=https://radyopilipinas.ph/2023/07/tvj-naghain-ng-reklamo-sa-regional-trial-court-ng-marikina-vs-gma-network-at-tape-inc/ |access-date=2025-07-08 |website=Radyo Pilipinas |language=en-US}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web |last=Calanog |first=Dale |date=2023-07-12 |title=TVJ files copyright, unfair competition suits vs TAPE, GMA over ‘Eat Bulaga,’ seeks close to P21M in damages |url=https://entertainment.inquirer.net/508880/tvj-files-complaint-against-tape-gma-over-copyright-infringement-unfair-competition |access-date=2025-07-08 |website=INQUIRER.net |language=en}}</ref> The case went on to the TVJ's favor on January 6, 2024, ordering the cease and desist order on both TAPE, Inc. and [GMA Network](/source/GMA_Network) to stop airing anything that is connected to the ''Eat Bulaga!'' trademark.<ref>{{Cite web |last=Cariaso |first=Bella |title=Court orders TAPE, GMA to stop using ‘Eat Bulaga’ |url=https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2024/01/06/2323820/court-orders-tape-gma-stop-using-eat-bulaga |access-date=2025-07-08 |website=Philstar.com}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web |last=De Castro Jr. |first=Isagani |date=2024-01-06 |title=TAPE stops using Eat Bulaga! as Tito, Vic, Joey start using it for noon show |url=https://www.rappler.com/business/tape-drops-eat-bulaga-tito-vic-joey-start-using-noon-show/ |access-date=2025-07-08 |website=RAPPLER |language=en-US}}</ref> The case was put into [Court of Appeals](/source/Court_of_Appeals_of_the_Philippines), but eventually rejected.<ref>{{Cite web |last=Purnell |first=Kristofer |title=Court of Appeals affirms TVJ ownership of 'Eat Bulaga' trademark |url=https://www.philstar.com/entertainment/2025/01/01/2411156/court-appeals-affirms-tvj-ownership-eat-bulaga-trademark |access-date=2025-07-08 |website=Philstar.com}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web |date=2025-09-28 |title=CA denies TAPE motion for reconsideration in 'Eat Bulaga' copyright case vs TVJ |url=https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2025/9/28/ca-denies-tape-motion-for-reconsideration-in-eat-bulaga-copyright-case-vs-tvj-1049 |website=ABS-CBN |access-date=2025-09-28}}</ref>

===Lawsuit by GMA Network===
On May 22, 2025, GMA Network filed a complaint against the executives of TAPE Inc. for alleged misappropriation of funds.<ref>{{Cite web |last=Integrated News |first=GMA |date=2025-05-22 |title=GMA Network statement on estafa complaint against officers of TAPE, Inc. |url=https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/topstories/nation/946975/gma-network-statement-on-estafa-complaint-against-officers-of-tape-inc/story/ |access-date=2025-05-22 |website=GMA News Online |language=en}}</ref><ref>{{cite news |last1=De Castro Jr. |first1=Isagani |title=GMA Network files P38-M estafa complaint vs Jalosjos-led TAPE |url=https://www.rappler.com/business/gma-network-files-estafa-complaint-romeo-jalosjos-tape-eat-bulaga/ |access-date=May 22, 2025 |work=[Rappler](/source/Rappler) |date=May 22, 2025}}</ref>
The case was because of the diversion of supposedly payments to GMA to "improve" their product.
