**Susi Nicoletti** (3 September 1918 – 5 June 2005) was a [Bavarian](/source/Bavaria)-born actress best remembered today for over 100 supporting roles mostly in [comedy films](/source/Comedy_film). She was born as **Susanne Emilie Luise Adele Habersack** in [Munich](/source/Munich), but spent most of her childhood with her parents in [Amsterdam](/source/Amsterdam). Back in Munich, she made her stage debut at age 13. Two years later she became a [ballerina](/source/Ballerina).

In the early 1930s she turned to [cabaret](/source/Cabaret). In 1939, she was offered her first film role. In 1940 she moved to [Vienna](/source/Vienna), where she became a member of the [Burgtheater](/source/Burgtheater). After her retirement in 1992 she continued her stage career at the [Theater in der Josefstadt](/source/Theater_in_der_Josefstadt). For decades, Nicoletti taught acting and [dance](/source/Dance) at the prestigious [Max Reinhardt Seminar](/source/Max_Reinhardt_Seminar) in Vienna. ## Death
