**Sumire Suto** (須藤 澄玲, *Sutō Sumire*, born November 12, 1997) is a Japanese [pair skater](/source/Pair_skater). With partner [Francis Boudreau-Audet](/source/Francis_Boudreau-Audet), she is the 2016 [Toruń Cup](/source/Toru%C5%84_Cup) champion and a two-time [Japanese national](/source/Japan_Figure_Skating_Championships) champion.

## Early career

Suto began learning to skate in 2006.[1]

### Partnership with Chizhikov

Suto began her partnership with Konstantin Chizhikov in 2013.[2] In December of the same year, they won the [Japanese national](/source/2013%E2%80%9314_Japan_Figure_Skating_Championships) junior title, ahead of Ami Koga / [Francis Boudreau-Audet](/source/Francis_Boudreau-Audet). Making their international debut, they placed 4th in junior pairs at the [International Challenge Cup](/source/International_Challenge_Cup) in March 2014. Later that month, the two finished 12th at the [2014 World Junior Championships](/source/2014_World_Junior_Figure_Skating_Championships) in [Sofia](/source/Sofia), Bulgaria.

Suto/Chizhikov competed in the [2014–15 ISU Junior Grand Prix](/source/2014%E2%80%9315_ISU_Junior_Grand_Prix) series, placing 7th in [Ostrava](/source/Ostrava) and 9th in [Dresden](/source/Dresden). They were coached by [Yuka Sato](/source/Yuka_Sato), [Jason Dungjen](/source/Jason_Dungjen), and Sergei Petrovski in [Bloomfield Hills, Michigan](/source/Bloomfield_Hills,_Michigan).[2]

## Partnership with Boudreau-Audet

### 2015–16 season

Suto teamed up with [Francis Boudreau-Audet](/source/Francis_Boudreau-Audet) in the spring of 2015.[3] They decided to represent Japan in senior pairs, coached by Richard Gauthier and [Bruno Marcotte](/source/Bruno_Marcotte) in [Montreal](/source/Montreal), Canada.[4] Their international debut came in December 2015 at the [Golden Spin of Zagreb](/source/2015_CS_Golden_Spin_of_Zagreb), where they placed 7th. Later that month, they won the [Japanese national title](/source/2015%E2%80%9316_Japan_Figure_Skating_Championships), ahead of Marin Ono / [Wesley Killing](/source/Wesley_Killing) and Miu Suzaki / [Ryuichi Kihara](/source/Ryuichi_Kihara).

In January 2016, Suto/Boudreau-Audet were awarded gold at the [Toruń Cup](/source/Toru%C5%84_Cup). They went on the place 9th at the [2016 Four Continents](/source/2016_Four_Continents_Figure_Skating_Championships) in [Taipei](/source/Taipei) and 22nd at the [2016 World Championships](/source/2016_World_Figure_Skating_Championships) in [Boston](/source/Boston)

### 2016–17 season

Suto/Boudreau-Audet began their season on the [Challenger Series](/source/2016%E2%80%9317_ISU_Challenger_Series), placing fourth at the [2016 U.S. International Classic](/source/2016_CS_U.S._International_Figure_Skating_Classic). They finished 7th at their [Grand Prix](/source/2016%E2%80%9317_ISU_Grand_Prix_of_Figure_Skating) assignment, the [2016 NHK Trophy](/source/2016_NHK_Trophy). The two repeated as [Japanese national](/source/2016%E2%80%9317_Japan_Figure_Skating_Championships) champions, outscoring Suzaki/Kihara by 14 points for the title.
