Subdistricts ([Arabic](/source/Arabic_language): ناحية, *nahiyah*), also referred to as tracts,[1] are the fourth-level [administrative division](/source/Administrative_division) in [Iraq](/source/Iraq).

Iraq is divided into [18 governorates](/source/Governorates_of_Iraq) or [muhafazah](/source/Muhafazah)), which are divided into more than [130 districts](/source/Districts_of_Iraq) ([qada](/source/Kaza)). Four of the governorates ([Erbil](/source/Erbil_Governorate), [Sulaymaniyah](/source/Sulaymaniyah_Governorate), [Duhok](/source/Duhok_Governorate), and [Halabja](/source/Halabja_Governorate)) are part of the semi-autonomous [Kurdistan Region](/source/Kurdistan_Region). Districts are divided into subdistricts.
