The '''subcallosal gyrus''' ('''paraterminal gyrus''', '''peduncle of the corpus callosum''') is a narrow lamina on the medial surface of the hemisphere in front of the [lamina terminalis](/source/lamina_terminalis), behind the [parolfactory area](/source/parolfactory_area), and below the rostrum of the [corpus callosum](/source/corpus_callosum). It is continuous around the [genu of the corpus callosum](/source/genu_of_the_corpus_callosum) with the [indusium griseum](/source/indusium_griseum). It is also considered a part of [limbic system](/source/limbic_system) of the brain.
