# Stuffed article

**Stuffed article** is a [legal](/source/Legal) or [industry](/source/Industry_(economics)) term describing items such as [mattresses](/source/Mattress), [beds](/source/Bed), [upholstery](/source/Upholstery), [pillows](/source/Pillow), plush [toys](/source/Toy), [teddy bears](/source/Teddy_bear) etc., i.e.: fabric items stuffed with an inert, resilient material, such as [cotton](/source/Cotton), [kapok](/source/Ceiba_pentandra), or [polyurethane foam](/source/Polyurethane_foam).[1] Such articles sold as new in the [United States](/source/United_States) usually are required to have a tag called a [law label](/source/Law_label) describing the fabric and stuffing used.
