==Rugby union career==
Neame made his international debut for [England](/source/England_national_rugby_union_team) on 10 March 1879 in the match against [Scotland](/source/Scotland_national_rugby_union_team) match at [Edinburgh](/source/Raeburn_Place).<ref name="Scrum"/>
Of the four matches he played for his national side the team won three times, and drew once.<ref name="Scrum"/>
