==Career==
Golabek began his career with [Highland League](/source/Highland_Football_League) side [Clachnacuddin](/source/Clachnacuddin_F.C.), before moving to [Ross County](/source/Ross_County_F.C.), where he played for nearly four years, before joining [Inverness Caledonian Thistle](/source/Inverness_Caledonian_Thistle_F.C.) in June 1999.

He quickly made a name for himself as a strong, hard-tackling [defender](/source/Defender_(association_football)) and soon became an important member of the first team. In his first [season](/source/1999%E2%80%932000_in_Scottish_football) with Inverness, Golabek was a member of the team that famously beat [Celtic](/source/Celtic_F.C.) in the [Scottish Cup](/source/1999%E2%80%932000_Scottish_Cup) on 8 February 2000. In the seasons that followed, Golabek continued to work hard in the Inverness defence, and when [Bobby Mann](/source/Bobby_Mann) left the club in the summer of 2004, Golabek was made [team captain](/source/Captain_(association_football)).

The highlights of Stuart Golabek's career include two wins against Celtic in the [Scottish Cup](/source/Scottish_Cup), winning the [Scottish Challenge Cup](/source/Scottish_Challenge_Cup) in [2003](/source/2003%E2%80%9304_Scottish_Challenge_Cup) and winning the [First Division](/source/Scottish_Football_League_First_Division) in [2004](/source/2003%E2%80%9304_in_Scottish_football) and [2010](/source/2009%E2%80%9310_in_Scottish_football), all with ''Caley''.

Golabek returned to Inverness in 2009, signing a one-year contract. He signed a contract extension to play in the [Scottish Premier League](/source/Scottish_Premier_League) for the [2010–11 season](/source/2010%E2%80%9311_in_Scottish_football).
