# Streik!

***Streik!*** is a [Norwegian](/source/Norway) [docudrama](/source/Docudrama) from 1975, directed by [Oddvar Bull Tuhus](/source/Oddvar_Bull_Tuhus).[1][2] The film is loosely based on [Tor Obrestad](/source/Tor_Obrestad)'s novel *Sauda! Strike!*, which is about the [Sauda strike](/source/Sauda_strike) in 1970.[3][4] It was the result of a collaboration between Marcusfilm and [NRK](/source/NRK)'s [Television Theater](/source/Fjernsynsteatret). The film shows the event from the workers' point of view.[5] It was staged in cinemas first, and then shown on NRK.
