Former art gallery in London, England

The **Storran Gallery** was a fashionable *avant-garde* art gallery in London in the 1930s. In 1937 it was run by the prominent art critic [Eardley Knollys](/source/Eardley_Knollys) (a friend of [Picasso](/source/Picasso))[1] with [Ala Story](/source/Ala_Story) and the artist [Frank Coombs](/source/Frank_Coombs_(artist)) (1906–1941). The gallery was at 106 [Brompton Road](/source/Brompton_Road) London SW3 (just opposite [Harrods](/source/Harrods)) but moved to [Fitzroy Street](/source/Fitzroy_Street%2C_London) and then 316 [Euston Road](/source/Euston_Road).

An unusual exhibition at the gallery in 1938 was The Jones Exhibition, in which the artists [Graham Bell](/source/Graham_Bell_(artist)) and [Tom Harrisson](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Thomas_Harrisson,_artist&action=edit&redlink=1)[2] curated an exhibition of London scenes by British painters all named Jones. They typed letters to invite over 800 London-based families with the widely held surname.[3]

The sculptor [Willi Soukop](/source/Willi_Soukop) had his first one-man show at the Storran Gallery in 1938.[11]
