Galleny Force on Stonethwaite Beck

**Stonethwaite Beck** is a minor [river](/source/River) in [Cumbria](/source/Cumbria), [England](/source/England). It is a [tributary](/source/Tributary) of the [River Derwent](/source/River_Derwent%2C_Cumbria).

Stonethwaite Beck is formed at the confluence of **Langstrath Beck** and **Greenup Gill** beneath [Eagle Crag](/source/Eagle_Crag), at *Smithymire Island*. It continues north west and north through Galleny Force, past the [villages](/source/Village) of [Stonethwaite](/source/Stonethwaite) and [Rosthwaite](/source/Rosthwaite%2C_Borrowdale%2C_Cumbria), flowing into the Derwent in [Borrowdale](/source/Borrowdale).
