# Stomorska

**Stomorska** is a [village](/source/Village) and a [cadastral](/source/Cadastre) in [Croatia](/source/Croatia), on the northern coast of [Šolta](/source/%C5%A0olta) island in the [Split-Dalmatia County](/source/Split-Dalmatia_County). It is connected by the [D111 highway](/source/D111_(Croatia)). Stomorska is the oldest town on the island on the water. The place is well connected and has a gastronomic marina.

During the time of the [Austro-Hungarian Empire](/source/Austria-Hungary) the villages of Šolta still have their [Italian](/source/Italian_language) names as well as *Stomosca*.[1]
