***Stigmella orientalis*** is a [moth](/source/Moth) of the family [Nepticulidae](/source/Nepticulidae). It is only known from [Kyushu](/source/Kyushu) in [Japan](/source/Japan).[1]

The larvae feed on *[Acer](/source/Acer_(genus))* species. They [mine the leaves](/source/Leaf_miner) of their host plant.
