# Stigmella nigrata

***Stigmella nigrata*** is a [moth](/source/Moth) of the family [Nepticulidae](/source/Nepticulidae). It was described by [Edward Meyrick](/source/Edward_Meyrick) in 1913. It is found in [South Africa](/source/South_Africa) (it was described from the [Waterval Onder](/source/Waterval_Onder) in what is now [Mpumalanga](/source/Mpumalanga)).[1]

The larvae feed on *[Ziziphus mucronatus](/source/Ziziphus_mucronatus)*. They probably [mine](/source/Leaf_miner) the leaves of their host plant.
