# Stiff Kittens

"**Stiff Kittens**" is the first track on [Blaqk Audio](/source/Blaqk_Audio)'s debut album *[CexCells](/source/CexCells)*, released on August 14, 2007.[1] On June 13, 2007, "Stiff Kittens" was released on the band's [MySpace](/source/MySpace) profile.[2] It is the only single from *CexCells*.

The title is a tribute reference to the band [Joy Division](/source/Joy_Division).[3]

## Music video

The music video was done and directed by [Marc Webb](/source/Marc_Webb). Webb previously worked with Blaqk Audio members [Davey Havok](/source/Davey_Havok) and [Jade Puget](/source/Jade_Puget) for [AFI](/source/AFI_(band))'s "[The Days of the Phoenix](/source/The_Days_of_the_Phoenix_EP)", "[The Leaving Song Pt. II](/source/The_Leaving_Song_Pt._II)", "[Miss Murder](/source/Miss_Murder)", and "[Love Like Winter](/source/Love_Like_Winter)". In an interview [Davey Havok](/source/Davey_Havok) said the video was shot in [Marc Webb](/source/Marc_Webb)'s basement. While on the talk show [Loveline](/source/Loveline) on April 30, 2009, Havok mentioned that it just "didn't work out" and will not be released. Some of the footage was shown during one of their shows while they were on tour and featured Havok in a dark small tunnel-like room. In early 2010 Jade Puget said that the video was never finished.
