The range runs between two tributaries of the [Eldon River](/source/Eldon_River) and is located within the eastern part of the [West Coast Range](/source/West_Coast_Range) and has an unnamed [peak](/source/Summit) with an elevation of 1,080 metres (3,540 ft) [above sea level](/source/Australian_Height_Datum).[1] It was named after [Robert Carl Sticht](/source/Robert_Carl_Sticht), the manager of the [Mount Lyell Mining and Railway Company](/source/Mount_Lyell_Mining_and_Railway_Company). It was affected by the [2016 Tasmanian bushfires](/source/2016_Tasmanian_bushfires).[3] ## Features and access The range can be viewed from the [Hydro Tasmania](/source/Hydro_Tasmania) built road (B24) at Lake Plimsoll.
