**Stewart Moore** (born 8 August 1999) is an Irish [rugby union](/source/Rugby_union) player who plays [centre](/source/Rugby_union_positions#Centre) for [Ulster](/source/Ulster_Rugby). Former Ulster coach [Dan McFarland](/source/Dan_McFarland) describes him as "a lovely balanced runner who can cause defences problems".[2] Ulster and Ireland wing [Jacob Stockdale](/source/Jacob_Stockdale) calls him " a serious talent ... one of those players where everything seems to come naturally for him. Really good passer, kicker, good feet ... a very, very talented all-rounder".[3]

A native of [Ballymoney](/source/Ballymoney), [County Antrim](/source/County_Antrim), Moore first began playing rugby aged 6 with the minis section of Ballymoney rugby club, though he dropped the sport to play [football](/source/Association_football) instead, before returning to rugby at [Dalriada School](/source/Dalriada_School). From there, Moore was brought into the [Ulster](/source/Ulster_Rugby) under-16s setup, and he moved to [Ballymena Academy](/source/Ballymena_Academy) to focus on rugby. He played for Ireland at under-18 and under-19 level, missed out on the [2019 Six Nations Under 20s Championship](/source/2019_Six_Nations_Under_20s_Championship), where [Ireland](/source/Ireland_national_under-20_rugby_union_team) won a [grand slam](/source/Grand_Slam_(rugby_union)),[4] due to a [serious concussion](/source/Concussions_in_rugby_union). He recovered to play in the [2019 World Rugby Under 20 Championship](/source/2019_World_Rugby_Under_20_Championship),[5] but dislocated his shoulder against Australia.[4] He played club rugby in the [All-Ireland League](/source/All-Ireland_League_(rugby_union)) with [Malone](/source/Malone_RFC),[4] and joined the Ulster academy ahead of the [2018–19 season](/source/2018%E2%80%9319_Ulster_Rugby_season),[6] while studying [biology](/source/Biology) at [Belfast Metropolitan College](/source/Belfast_Metropolitan_College).[4]

Moore made his senior competitive debut for [Ulster](/source/Ulster_Rugby) while an academy player in their 54–42 defeat against [Leinster](/source/Leinster_Rugby) in the [2018–19 Pro14](/source/2018%E2%80%9319_Pro14) on 20 December 2019,[7] and also featured against the [Cheetahs](/source/Cheetahs_(rugby_union)) in February 2020.[8] He signed a three-year contract with the senior team, as a development player for the first year, ahead of the [2020–21 season](/source/2020%E2%80%9321_Ulster_Rugby_season).[9] In that first season, he made twelve appearances, including 11 starts, and scored six tries. In [2021–22](/source/2021%E2%80%9322_Ulster_Rugby_season) he made fourteen appearances, including eight starts.[1] In April 2022 he signed a new contract with Ulster, to run until the summer of 2025.[2] He was selected for the [Emerging Ireland](/source/Emerging_Ireland) squad for the [Toyota Challenge](/source/Toyota_Challenge) in South Africa in September 2022.[10] In November 2025 he joined [Newcastle Red Bulls](/source/Newcastle_Red_Bulls) on loan.[11] He scored a hat trick on his debut in the [2025–26 PREM Rugby Cup](/source/2025%E2%80%9326_PREM_Rugby_Cup) against [Northampton Saints](/source/Northampton_Saints),[12] before being recalled to Ulster to cover for injuries.[13]
