# Steve Morell

**Steve Morell** (born **Stephan Kraus**[1] on 19 April 1967 in [Fulda](/source/Fulda), Germany) is a [German](/source/Germans) musician, male model and music producer.[2]

## Life

Morell's roots were in the [punk scene](/source/Punk_subculture) of [London](/source/London). Against his family's wishes he relocated to [Frankfurt](/source/Frankfurt) in 1984, and then to [Berlin](/source/Berlin) where he founded the music label Pale Music International.[2] He was one of the most important and influential underground-musicians of Berlin and had the unofficial title as "King of Underground".[3] In 2017 he survived [skin cancer](/source/Skin_cancer) and started his model career.[4] He was featured in *[Vogue Homme](/source/Vogue_(magazine))*, *[Elle](/source/Elle_(magazine))* and other fashion magazines and got roles in music videos and movies.[5] Morell lives in Berlin and London.
