# Stephen Marriott

**Stephen Jack Marriott** (8 November 1886 – 25 December 1964) was an [Anglican](/source/Anglican) [priest](/source/Priest) who was [Archdeacon of Westminster](/source/Archdeacon_of_Westminster)[1] from 1946 to 1951.[2]

Donaldson was educated at [Christ's College, Cambridge](/source/Christ's_College,_Cambridge) and [ordained](/source/Ordained) in 1913. He served curacies in [Southport](/source/Southport), [Rye Park](/source/Rye_Park,_Hertfordshire) and [Folkestone](/source/Folkestone). He was a temporary Naval Chaplain and RAF from 1917 to 1918.[3] He served incumbencies at [South Queensferry](/source/South_Queensferry) and [North Berwick](/source/North_Berwick).[4] In 1937 he became a [Canon](/source/Canon_(priest)) of [Westminster](/source/Westminster_Abbey).[5]
