== Career ==
Stephen Kiprop has established himself as one of the fastest road runners in the world. His personal best in the half marathon is 58:42, set in February 2019 at the [Ras Al Khaimah Half Marathon](/source/Ras_Al_Khaimah_Half_Marathon), where he equaled the course record.<ref name="WA_Profile_Kiprop"/><ref name="Valencia_HR_2019"/><ref name="Sportpesa_RAK"/> This time placed him among the fastest half marathoners of all time. He also holds a personal best of 42:16 for the 15-kilometre road race, achieved in May 2018.<ref name="WA_Profile_Kiprop"/>

Kiprop made his major marathon debut at the 50th edition of the [Berlin Maratho](/source/Berlin_Maratho)n.<ref name="Berlin_Marathon_Debut"/> His marathon personal best is 2:03:37, set at the Berlin Marathon on September 29, 2024, where he finished fourth.<ref name="MarathonView_Kiprop"/><ref name="BMW_Berlin_Marathon_News"/> This race saw four men run under 2:04 for the first time in Berlin's history.<ref name="BMW_Berlin_Marathon_News"/>
