**Stefano Spiller** (born 3 July, 2005)[1] is an Italian [curler](/source/Curling) from [Valdidentro](/source/Valdidentro).[3] He is a former World Junior Men's and Mixed Doubles Champion.

## Career

### Youth

Spiller competed at the [2025 Winter World University Games](/source/2025_Winter_World_University_Games) as the alternate for the Italian team[4] (skipped by [Giacomo Colli](/source/Giacomo_Colli)). The team finished 5–4.

Spiller, and his team of brothers [Stefano](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Stefano_Gilli&action=edit&redlink=1) and [Andrea Gilli](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Andrea_Gilli&action=edit&redlink=1), and lead [Francesco Vigliani](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Francesco_Vigliani&action=edit&redlink=1) represented Italy at the [2025 World Junior Curling Championships](/source/2025_World_Junior_Curling_Championships), played at home in [Cortina d'Ampezzo](/source/Cortina_d'Ampezzo), Italy. With Spiller skipping, the team finished the round robin with an 8–1 record, in first place. The team then beat South Korea's [Kim Dae-hyun](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kim_Dae-hyun&action=edit&redlink=1) rink in the semifinals, before beating Norway's [Lukas Høstmælingen](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lukas_H%C3%B8stm%C3%A6lingen&action=edit&redlink=1) in the final to claim the gold medal,[5] [6] the first World Junior men's title for Italy.

The following month, Spiller and partner [Lucrezia Grande](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lucrezia_Grande&action=edit&redlink=1) represented Italy at the [2025 World Junior Mixed Doubles Curling Championship](/source/2025_World_Junior_Mixed_Doubles_Curling_Championship), the first time the event had been held. The pair went undefeated in pool play, with a 6–0 record. They then beat the United States, South Korean and finally Denmark ([Katrine](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Katrine_Schmidt&action=edit&redlink=1) and [Jacob Schmidt](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jacob_Schmidt&action=edit&redlink=1)) in the final, to win his second junior gold medal in as many months.[7][8]

Spiller skipped the Italian team once again at the [2026 World Junior Curling Championships](/source/2026_World_Junior_Curling_Championships), this time with new lead [Cesare Spiller](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Cesare_Spiller&action=edit&redlink=1), Stefano's twin brother.[9] There, the team had a weaker round robin, finishing with a 6–3 record. The team then upset Scotland's [Orrin Carson](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Orrin_Carson&action=edit&redlink=1) rink in the semifinal, before losing to the United States' [Caden Hebert](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Caden_Hebert&action=edit&redlink=1) in the final.[10]

### Men's

Spiller's junior rink also competed on the men's tour during the [2025–26 curling season](/source/2025%E2%80%9326_curling_season), where they won the [Danish Open](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Danish_Open_(curling)&action=edit&redlink=1)[11] and the [Sun City Cup](/source/Sun_City_Cup).[12][4]

Only a few weeks after winning the World Junior silver medal, Spiller was chosen to skip the Italian men's team at the [2026 World Men's Curling Championship](/source/2026_World_Men's_Curling_Championship), following the decision of longtime skip [Joël Retornaz](/source/Jo%C3%ABl_Retornaz) to miss the tournament.[13][14]
