"'''Stars Over 45'''" is a song by [Chas & Dave](/source/Chas_%26_Dave) which was released as a [single](/source/single_(music)) on 6 December 1981 and entered the [UK Singles Chart](/source/UK_Singles_Chart) at No. 59.<ref>{{cite web | url=https://www.officialcharts.com/search/singles/Stars%20Over%2045 | title=Stars Over 45 | work=[Official Charts Company](/source/Official_Charts_Company) | accessdate=2011-07-04 }}</ref> The song stayed in the charts for 8 weeks and peaked at number No. 21 on 2 January 1982.

According to [Chas Hodges](/source/Chas_Hodges), the song was recorded as a "[piss take](/source/piss_take)" on the series of pop song medleys by [Stars on 45](/source/Stars_on_45), and chose some of the "corniest" old songs such as "[When I'm Cleaning Windows](/source/When_I'm_Cleaning_Windows)", "[Any Old Iron](/source/Any_Old_Iron_(song))" and "[The Laughing Policeman](/source/The_Laughing_Policeman_(song))" in the medley. It was however not originally intended to be a single, only as a B-side. Hodges did not want it released as a single, and it would be their only song he regretted releasing.<ref name="hodges">{{cite book |url= https://books.google.com/books?id=uY5KAAAAQBAJ |title=Chas and Dave: All About Us |isbn=9781857828269 |first=Chas |last=Hodges |date=October 2009 |chapter=Chapter 23: How do we follow 'Rabbit'? |publisher=John Blake }}</ref>
