In Los Angeles, Parodi found herself playing piano and keyboards in various rock, jazz, gospel, and soul bands, teaming up with members of [Earth, Wind & Fire](/source/Earth%2C_Wind_%26_Fire), [The Temptations](/source/The_Temptations), [Maze](/source/Maze_(band)) and [Parliament-Funkadelic](/source/Parliament-Funkadelic).
