==History==
thumb|Jeff Staple, portrayed at the BreadandButter show in 2009

Jeff worked as an intern with the [streetwear](/source/streetwear) clothing company PNB Nation and as a graphic designer at c.i.t.e. design. He established his brand, Staple, in 1997 while silk-screening T-shirts in his spare time. Later that year, Jeff started Staple Design. Staple Design opened the retail store and art gallery Reed Space in downtown Manhattan in 2002.<ref>{{Cite web |title=Home |url=https://jeffstaple.tv/ |access-date=2023-03-31 |website=jeffstaple |language=en}}</ref>

In 2005, Staple Pigeon released the NYC Pigeon Dunks sneakers in collaboration with [Nike](/source/Nike%2C_Inc.).<ref>{{Cite web |title=Jeff Ng "Jeff Staple" {{!}} 'NYC Pigeon' Nike Dunk Low Pro SB Dual-Signed by Jeff Staple {{!}} Size 10 {{!}} Cult Canvas {{!}} 2020 |url=https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2020/cult-canvas/jeff-ng-jeff-staple-nyc-pigeon-nike-dunk-low-pro |access-date=2025-05-22 |website=Sotheby's |language=en}}</ref> Only around 200 pairs were ever released, exclusively in [New York City](/source/New_York_City). Riots erupted at many of the stores where the shoes were sold. The market value of a pair of the shoes today is reportedly over US$64,000.<ref>{{Citation
