Waithe competed for the [men's 4 × 400 m relay](/source/Athletics_at_the_2008_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_4_%C3%97_400_metres_relay) at the [2008 Summer Olympics](/source/2008_Summer_Olympics) in [Beijing](/source/Beijing), along with his teammates [Ato Modibo](/source/Ato_Modibo), [Jovon Toppin](/source/Jovon_Toppin), and [Cowin Mills](/source/Cowin_Mills). He ran on the anchor leg of the second heat, with an individual-split time of 46.43 seconds.
