According to the 2002 census, the village had a population of 68 people.<ref name="Popis"/> Of these, 67 (98.52 %) were ethnic Albanians, and 1 (1.47 %) Bosniak.<ref name="Popis">Popis stanovništva, domaćinstava i Stanova 2002. == History ==
Stanevce belongs to the ethnographic region of [Karadak](/source/Skopska_Crna_Gora), specifically the subregion of Llapushnica. Until the summer of 1947, the villages of Llapushnica—Stanevce, [Kurbalija](/source/Kurbalija), [Depce](/source/Depce), [Sefer](/source/Sefer%2C_Pre%C5%A1evo), [Bujić](/source/Buji%C4%87), [Cerevajka](/source/Cerevajka), [Pečeno](/source/Pe%C4%8Deno), [Maxherja](/source/Ma%C4%91are), and [Ranatovce](/source/Ranatovce)—were part of the Municipality of [Zhegër](/source/Zheg%C3%ABr), located in the [District of Gjilan](/source/District_of_Gjilan) and [Kosovo](/source/Kosovo).
