# Standard Manufacturing DP-12

The **DP-12** is a [bullpup](/source/Bullpup) 12-[gauge](/source/Gauge_(bore_diameter)) [pump action](/source/Pump_action) [double-barreled shotgun](/source/Double-barreled_shotgun) designed by [Standard Manufacturing](/source/Standard_Manufacturing). It has 2x underbarrel tube [magazines](/source/Magazine_(firearms)), each of which feeds its own barrel. Each magazine tube can hold up to 7 2.75-inch (70-millimetre) [12-gauge](/source/12-gauge) shotshells or 6 3-inch (76-millimetre) shotgun shells;[1] 16 (2 3⁄4") or 14 (3") in total with indicator windows.

## Design

The DP-12 shotgun is a manually operated, [pump action](/source/Pump_action) weapon. The first [trigger](/source/Trigger_(firearms)) pull fires the right barrel and the second fires the left.[2] The sliding forend is connected to the [bolt](/source/Bolt_(firearms)) by dual operating bars. Ammunition is fed from 2x independent [magazine](/source/Magazine_(firearms)) tubes, located below the barrels.

Rounds are loaded into the magazines through a large loading/ejection port, located at the bottom rear of the gun in the stock, behind the pistol grip. Empty shells are ejected down through the same port. The [safety](/source/Safety_(firearms)) is an [ambidextrous](/source/Ambidextrous) AR style lever located above the grip.

[Sighting](/source/Sight_(device)) equipment is not included, but [iron sights](/source/Iron_sights) and/or a [red dot sight](/source/Red_dot_sight) can be installed using the standard [Picatinny rail](/source/Picatinny_rail) located above the barrels. A second Picatinny rail at the end of the slide (under the [muzzles](/source/Muzzle_(firearms))) can be used for a forward grip or other accessories.

### Chokes

The barrels come threaded with a Tru-Choke thread pattern and 2x flush-mount spreader choke tubes. There are 2x optional chokes from the manufacturer, the doorbuster tactical choke and stiletto choke.[3]

### Colors

There are several different color variants of this shotgun. They include black, flat-dark earth, green, tan, gold and black & gold two-tone.
