**Stainz** (ʃtaɪnts) is a municipality in the district of [Deutschlandsberg](/source/Deutschlandsberg_(district)) in the [Austrian](/source/Austria) state of [Styria](/source/Styria). A notable building there is [Schloss Stainz](/source/Schloss_Stainz), a former [monastery](/source/Monastery) complex that belongs to the Counts of Meran and hosts collections from the [Universalmuseum Joanneum](/source/Universalmuseum_Joanneum).
