The **Stade Jacques Rimbault** is a football [stadium](/source/Stadium) located in [Bourges](/source/Bourges), France.[3] It is the home ground of [Championnat National 2](/source/Championnat_National_2) club [Bourges Foot 18](/source/Bourges_Foot_18).

Opened in 1991, the stadium was initially called the Stade des Grosses Plantes before being renamed after [Jacques Rimbault](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jacques_Rimbault&action=edit&redlink=1) [[fr](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacques_Rimbault)], the mayor of Bourges who died in 1993.[4]

## Notable matches

The Stade Jacques Rimbault hosted all professional [Division 2](/source/Ligue_2) home fixtures of [FC Bourges](/source/FC_Bourges) during the [1993–94 season](/source/1993%E2%80%9394_French_Division_2).[5]

The stadium notably hosted a match between the [France U21](/source/France_national_under-21_football_team) and [Estonia U21](/source/Estonia_national_under-21_football_team) national teams on 27 May 2009, the game ending in a 3–0 victory for the French. The final of the [2011–12 Coupe de France Féminine](/source/2011%E2%80%9312_Coupe_de_France_F%C3%A9minine) was also hosted here, when [Lyon](/source/Olympique_Lyonnais_F%C3%A9minin) beat [Montpellier](/source/Montpellier_HSC_(women)) by a score of 2–1. Lastly, the semi-finals of the 2016–17 [Coupe Gambardella](/source/Coupe_Gambardella) took place at the stadium, which was a neutral venue.[4]
