St. Clare Entertainment Industry Television production Owners John Landis Robert K. Weiss Leslie Belzberg

**St. Clare Entertainment** is a television production company owned by [John Landis](/source/John_Landis), [Robert K. Weiss](/source/Robert_K._Weiss), and [Leslie Belzberg](/source/Leslie_Belzberg). The company was responsible for such [television series](/source/Television_series) as *[Sliders](/source/Sliders_(TV_series))*, *[Weird Science](/source/Weird_Science_(TV_series))*, *[Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show](/source/Honey%2C_I_Shrunk_the_Kids%3A_The_TV_Show)*, *[Campus Cops](/source/Campus_Cops)*, *[Dream On](/source/Dream_On_(TV_series))*, and *[Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World](/source/Sir_Arthur_Conan_Doyle's_The_Lost_World)*.

The company takes its name from [Clare of Assisi](/source/Clare_of_Assisi), the patron saint of television. Their logo consists of a drawing of [three wise monkeys](/source/Three_wise_monkeys) ("See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil") sitting in the center of the screen.

The company was at one time, affiliated with [MCA TV](/source/NBCUniversal_Syndication_Studios), via the [Universal Television](/source/Universal_Television) unit.[1] In 1995, after 15 years at the Universal lot, St. Clare Entertainment was moved to [Walt Disney Television](/source/Walt_Disney_Television_(production_company)), with the intent to develop new television projects.[2] On November 11, 1997, St. Clare started working on *The Lost World* through [DirecTV](/source/DirecTV)'s Action Adventure Network alliance.[3] On January 10, 1999, it inked into a partnership with Canadian TV producer Telescene to develop *The Lost World* to television under Action Adventure Network, for [New Line Television](/source/New_Line_Television), who served as US distributor and Fremantle Corporation, who served as international distributor.[4]
