# Springdale, Oregon

**Springdale** is an [unincorporated community](/source/Unincorporated_area) in [Multnomah County](/source/Multnomah_County,_Oregon) in the [U.S. state](/source/U.S._state) of [Oregon](/source/Oregon).[1] Located between [Troutdale](/source/Troutdale,_Oregon) and [Corbett](/source/Corbett,_Oregon) on the [Historic Columbia River Highway](/source/Historic_Columbia_River_Highway), it was named for the many [springs](/source/Spring_(hydrosphere)) in the area.[2] In the 1890s, the east end of the community was called Springdale, but the west end was called Gage. Gage had a post office from 1900 to 1903.[2] The [Springdale School](/source/Springdale_School), also known as the Springdale Community Center, is listed on the [National Register of Historic Places](/source/National_Register_of_Historic_Places) and currently houses the CAPS program of the [Corbett School District](/source/Corbett_School_District).
