'''Spacedust''' were the British [production](/source/record_producer) [duo](/source/duet_(music)) of Paul Glancy and Duncan Glasson.

They had a [number one](/source/List_of_number-one_singles_from_the_1990s_(UK)) [hit](/source/hit_record) [single](/source/single_(music)) in the [UK Singles Chart](/source/UK_Singles_Chart) in 1998 with "[Gym and Tonic](/source/Gym_and_Tonic)".<ref name="Chart">{{Cite web|url=https://www.officialcharts.com/artist/5317/spacedust/|title=SPACEDUST | full Official Chart History | Official Charts Company|publisher=Official Charts Company|accessdate=2020-06-24}}</ref> The track was technically a [cover](/source/cover_version) of [Bob Sinclar](/source/Bob_Sinclar)'s single "Gym Tonic," although the song only credits Spacedust as the sole writer and producer. A full release of Sinclar's original song was refused by [Jane Fonda](/source/Jane_Fonda), who was [sampled](/source/sampling_(music)) on the [record](/source/Gramophone_record).<ref>[http://www.discogs.com/artist/Spacedust Discogs entry of Spacedust] [Discogs](/source/Discogs). The [music video](/source/music_video), despite being made in the late 1990s, was made to look cheap even though it cost over £10,000{{Citation needed|date=May 2024}}. It regularly features on [VH1](/source/VH1)'s "worst videos" lists.

After this number one, they released a further hit "Let's Get Down",<ref name="Chart"/> which was based on [Chic](/source/Chic_(band))'s "[I Want Your Love](/source/I_Want_Your_Love_(Chic_song))". Both tracks were released on the [East West Records](/source/East_West_Records) [label](/source/record_label).
