The 8 member communities are located in [eastern Manitoba](/source/Eastman_Region), to the south and east of [Lake Winnipeg](/source/Lake_Winnipeg), with a majority within the [Precambrian Shield](/source/Precambrian_Shield) region.<ref name=":0" /><ref name=":1" />
